You Left Me To Walk

Time is like the waters of the shore.
Always crashing and caressing,
the face of the soft sand, and one night
he sweeps it all away.

You left me to walk underwater
Above fire, beneath the earth
You left me to walk in solitude.
And I waited for the first breath of air.

While miles apart we grew, and
sandstorms have come and gone
I learn to breath without my lungs.
You left me to walk.

And walk I did.
I will walk towards you.

  1. This piece touched me so. : )

While the world is too big, remember that I am just a whisper away. You take care now, walk briskly, tread carefully.

Above all, do not be afraid to walk -- towards the light.
